Madam Lucy Mwanzi Muhavi is the Principal of Bushiangala Technical Training Institute. A seasoned educationist and technical trainer specialising in Food and Beverage production, she previously served as Principal of Khwisero Technical and Vocational College before joining Bushiangala TTI.
Madam Lucy is credited with growing trainee enrolment at Bushiangala TTI from 450 in 2023, when she joined the institution, to over 2,000 trainees currently.
Dr. Wilberforce Manoah Jahonga is a visionary education leader with over 25 years of progressive experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He holds a PhD in Economics of Education from Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology (December 2025), with his thesis focused on "STEM Program Characteristics and Labour Market Outcomes of Graduates of National Polytechnics in Kenya".
He joined Bushiangala Technical Training Institute as Deputy Principal — Academics in August 2023, after serving as Registrar at Sigalagala National Polytechnic (2019–2023) and, earlier, as Deputy Coordinator of Performance Contract Implementation and Chairman of the Research & Development Committee at Sigalagala.
At Sigalagala, he led the implementation of an online student application system that drove a 138% growth in enrolment — from 6,300 (2019) to over 15,000 students (2023). At Bushiangala TTI, he introduced online submission of learning plans that cut administrative processing time by 70%, and he chairs the Strategic Plan Monitoring & Review Committee tracking 45+ KPIs across the institution.
His academic contributions include peer-reviewed publications in journals covering TVET, STEM education, graduate employment outcomes, and greening TVET for sustainable development, plus paper presentations at STEMEIC (2024, 2025), CAPA (Rwanda), and international forums including UNESCO-UNEVOC.

Mr. Owade is a long-serving, passionate academician and trainer specialising in Applied Biology and Research. Upon joining Bushiangala TTI, he served briefly as Head of Department, Applied Sciences, before being appointed to the Registrar's office.
Before joining Bushiangala TTI, he taught at Kisiwa National Polytechnic, where he served as Head of Department, Medical and Applied Sciences, and later as Sports Officer. Previously, he served as a teacher and Director of Studies at Mukumu Boys High School for over thirteen years before transiting to the TVET sector.
Beyond academia, Mr. Owade is an ardent tennis player and coach.
