1. INTERNAL AUDITOR

Job description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include

  • Undertaking audit verification assignments;
  • Preparing and submitting audit findings;
  • Carrying out a review of accounting, financial and budgetary systems;
  • Communicate any loopholes within the institution structure, recommend appropriate solutions to ensure minimal disruptions to business operations from unsupportive structures;
  • Induct other audit staff on the use of computerized audit techniques and methods for ease in the use of techniques;
  • Undertaking non-financial audit assignments; set up systems of internal control and regulations;
  • Ensure public Procurement & Disposal Act of 2015 is adhered to in all the procurement processes;
  • Advice management on policies related to internal controls, financial accounting and report on financial administration as per the government regulations.

Job specification

  • For appointment to this position an applicant should have:
  • Holder of CPA(K) or
  • Diploma in supplies management and CPA
  • Be a registered member of a professional body
  • Relevant certificate in computer application skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedure, laws, rules and regulations
  • Show merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

2. COMPUTER TECHNICIAN

Job description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Installing and maintaining technical equipment used in computer training services
  • Offering technical support in ICT laboratories and workshops
  • Advising on procurement of ICT software and hardware
  • Liaising with hardware vendors for administration of guarantees
  • Developing customized applications
  • Determining equipment specifications for laboratories and offices 
  • Servicing computers and computer accessories
  • Undertake troubleshooting and diagnostics on hardware including the network, router, switches, cabling and Wi-Fi
  • Maintaining of proper inventory of tools, equipment and machines in the Laboratories

For appointment to this position the applicant should have the following minimum requirements:

  • Diploma in computer studies or ICT module III from a recognized institution or examining body
  • Served as a technician in a comparable institution for at least two (2) years 
  • Show merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results

3. COLLEGE NURSE

Job description

  • Treating all students of the institute and referring them when need arises
  • Counselling   patients before and or after treatment
  • Accompanying the very sick students to hospital for further treatment or admission
  • Preparing health reports to relevant authorities
  • Providing first aid care and replenishing the first aid kits
  • Maintaining security of college health supplies
  • Serving as a resource person on health issues in the college
  • Providing follow-up evaluations on students’ health as required
  • Recording immunization, health findings and other relevant health data
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by higher authority.

For appointment to this position the applicant should have the following minimum requirements:

  • Diploma in nursing and community health from a recognized medical training college
  • Registered by nursing council of Kenya
  • Active practicing license for nursing council of Kenya
  • Minimum age 35 years
  • Demonstrate high integrity

4. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Job description

This position is responsible for provision of assistance in supervision of staff in the various administrative support service areas and promoting staff welfare

Main duties

  • Provide assistance in the implementation of the human resource management and administration policies and ensure compliance with government legal and statutory requirement.
  • Coordinate office services in the institution to ensure all operations run smoothly
  • Draft letters of appointment, probation and promotion for review, approval and validation by relevant officer.
  • Administer staff appraisal and compile annual staff appraisal report for review by relevant officer
  • Respond to staff’s queries on basic human resource matters to provide clarity on issues of concern
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records
  • Gather and compile all information relating to training needs from time to time to facilitate proper planning of training programmes
  • Inducting new employees
  • Administering compensation and benefits 

For appointment to this position the applicant should have the following minimum requirements:

  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Member of IHRM
  • Knowledge of the employment Act and Labour Laws
